Silly Cat and Dog Angel T-Shirts

I received an awesome surprise email. My customers, Shirley and Dean, sent pictures modeling their silly cat and dog angel t-shirts they purchased from me. Both are avid animal lovers and guardian to a sweet-as-can-be fur-baby pooch named Caddy.
Notice the pictures.  For the first time ever, pets are being allowed on the golf course.  My shirts have now got "game".  Fore!
Cruise on over to my website, www.SusanCalvert.com, to purchase your own silly pet t-shirt to wear at the golf course, work or school.  They are guaranteed to generate some laughs.  Email me a picture wearing it and I'll feature you on my blog

The Canvas Project 3, Part 2

Here they are folks! My 3 blank canvases for The Canvas Project 3, a public art project by the Art House Co-op. Pretty boring, huh?

Okay, so the canvases do not look like much today. However, during the week, I had shazam moment. Lightening struck! Visual images popped into my mind for the randomly-selected words that arrived with my canvases. Stay tuned for another update where you will see how the words I received are reflected in my paintings.

Imagination Squared Public Art Project, Part 2

A week and a half ago, I received my square for the Imagination Squared Public Art Project (Part 1). Here is Part 2, describing my process from start to finish. Let's paint!

I decided to paint in the whimsical style of pop art.

Sketch and base coating.

Hips, background squares, bee, and belly button.

The number 2 and squares on the sides.

My finished piece of art. Yippee!

A close-up view of the side and front.

So what's it called, you ask? The title is:

Hip to Be Square

I'll be dropping it in the mail after the finish dries today. Hopefully, it will arrive quickly and generate some good laughter. Yee-ha!

Good Girls Recycled Greeting Cards

I completed my recycled greeting cards for Re-Inspiration Store. Each package contains 6 different designs of my Good Girls with verse inside. I used the pages of an old pattern book to create the card stock and dress up the girls making every card a unique work of art. The envelope flap is lined in coordinating card stock. I added the story of each design on the backside of the card too.To keep within the recycled theme, I used a netted produce bag and tied it into a bow for closure. Here is a close up photo of the packaging with the card entitled "Desperately Seeking Coffee".

Okay, so now it's your turn to accessorize these cards with your words and send them to your friends. They will be available for purchase at Re-Inspiration Store next week.
